There comes a time when the swords are drawn and ready for battle, then a time to draw them back and reconcile. That seems to be the case for aspiring Nairobi City County Women representatives Rachel Shebesh and Esther Passaris.
The duo is contending for the Nairobi Women Representative position in Jubilee Party and ODM party tickets respectively.
Rachel Shebesh was admitted to hospital with a leg injury.
Her Jubilee party members, dignitaries as well as her political foes came to pay her a courtesy visit in hospital.
However, it was her competitor Esther Passaris’ visit that sparked an online discussion. To many, the two contestants for the City Women rep seat were sworn enemies and could, in no way, see eye to eye.
"Earlier this afternoon, I paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Rachel Shebesh who is recuperating at the hospital. Despite being my opponent, I still wish her good health and believe my supporters do too," Passaris mentioned.
She completed her tweet with photos of Shebesh and her, Shebesh carrying a big bag of Crisps she brought her.
Tongues are wagging following the new found accord among the ladies as they are set to face off come August 8th battling it out for the next City Women Representative.
Owing to the duo’s political stamina, the Nairobi City Women Rep seat is considered one of the hottest contested seats in the country in this coming general election.
