Opinion:Do we blame national or county governments for renewed doctors' strike?

In regard to your question asking to know who between the national and county governments is responsible for the renewed doctors' strike in some parts of the country,

I would say that both the national and county governments have done their best by applying all the mechanisms to have the matter settled, but in vain.

A lot of innocent Kenyans are suffering courtesy of doctors who have violated the constitution, betrayed the Hippocratic Oath and remained adamant in refusing to deliver services in accordance with the principles of the profession they chose to pursue.

As far as I am concerned, we should condemn doctors for demanding payment for the three months period they were on a nationwide strike and for work they never did.

It is illegal and immoral to reap where one did not plant in the first place.

Another pertinent issue that should be considered is that the court had earlier declared the strike illegal, thus doctors lack any legal basis for their claim.

Kenyans should understand that all professions should respect the rule of law; there is a reason why we have the Constitution and the Judiciary in the legal system.
