Joshua backed to replicate 'Woods effect'

Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua can be a "flag-bearer" for boxing in the way Tiger Woods was for golf, according to one of Britain's top sports promoters. Joshua was widely acclaimed for his 11th-round win over Wladimir Klitschko in a bout on Saturday. "All sports need flag-bearers," said Barry Hearn, the chairman of Matchroom Sport. "The Joshua effect is similar to the Tiger Woods effect in golf."
