Why President Uhuru stands high chances of being re-elected

President Uhuru Kenyatta stands high chances of being re-elected for a second term following the recent political standing in the country.

First and foremost if the unity in the party that is sponsoring him for the top seat is anything to go by, then it will give him an easy time of clinching the presidency.

This also means that he will have enough time and energy on increasing the strength of the party rather than dwelling on how to unite party members.

Secondly, his political strongholds are known to come out in large numbers during the voting period just to vote for their leaders unlike in the opposition’s strongholds.

This probably will give him an upper hand of consolidating the highest number of votes in these areas which will see him re-elected.

Thirdly, the perceived disunity in the opposition will work to the advantage of the president’s re-election plan.

President Uhuru will take advantage of the disunity to even convince some of the possible opposition voters to vote for him.

In addition, President Uhuru has launched massive projects in opposition strongholds that will likely entice voters from those regions to vote for him.

Also, the president is more determined to retain his seat and he will not leave anything to chance. Lastly, in Kenya, it is not easy to vote out the sitting president.
