We do not need imported doctors

It is not a wise decision for the Government to import doctors from Tanzania when they have not settled Kenyan doctors’ pay issues.

The Government should not pretend to care about its citizens so much as to bring doctors from outside.

It is wasting the money they could have used to settle our doctors’ salaries.

Tanzanian doctors might end up demanding more money than our own doctors are asking for. It beats logic to hire them.

In addition, Kenyans will not allow this glaring unfairness against the sons and daughters they helped to put through school.

Even though the Government has promised them 24-hour security, ‘imported’ doctors from Tanzania will face hostility from Kenyans.

Besides, how come our own doctors do not get similar security when they rush to save lives late at night?

Above all, Kenyan patients will find it hard to communicate with Tanzanian doctors because of an obvious language barrier.

The doctors’ union has disagreed with the Government on this issue.

And what happens if it emerges that the doctors are unqualified?
