Premier League is a league that interests me, admits Monaco defender Fabinho

Arsenal and Manchester United target Fabinho has admitted he is keen on a move to the Premier League.

The Monaco star had reportedly been in talks with both the Gunners and Red Devils over a summer move.

However his father Joan revealed last week that the full-back actually preferred a move to Manchester City.

And with Barcelona also sniffing around the 23-year-old it appears a move away from the French Riviera is on the cards - and it looks like he will head to England.

"I have a contract until 2021, but the Premier League is a league that interests me and maybe one day I will come and play here," he said, conveniently ahead of Monaco's Champions League clash with Man City at the Etihad.

"I know my name was linked with more than one English club but I am happy at Monaco at the moment."

Fabinho's father Joan had previously hinted the full-back would pick City given the choice.

"We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and approached by Barcelona," he told French TV show J+1 .

"We like Manchester United and Mourinho’s work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City."
