Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has said he will launch his manifesto at Mumbi grounds despite not getting a clearance from the county.

Yesterday, Kamau notified County Security Committee that he will hold a meeting at the grounds on November 26 where he promised to explain his potential in resolving problems facing the residents.

He took the move after Murang’a town manager Jeremiah Kamau declined to respond to his application to hold the event at General Ihura stadium.

The MP held a closed-door meeting with county security team led by county commissioner John Elungata before he addressed his supporters where he called for peaceful campaigns.

He said his team notified Murang’a OCS that they intended to hold a function at the ground. “I have been waiting for a green light from the county to no avail,” said the MP.
