Women be warned, men are not money manufacturers

News

It is not a surprise in villages to spot young women who have dubbed themselves as ‘empowered’ fearlessly walking around as they cause unnecessary panic. The tough-headed and women of questionable behaviors are the talk of many scaring away potential suitors at any given chance.

In what appears as the trend, most often you will encounter them in saloons and various public places. One trait that they possess is the tendency to rely on men for favors and drinks. It is unfortunate for men who turn down requests from these ‘desperate’ women. They will be branded names one of them being ‘stingy’.

Why do women think that a man’s money is free to be use by any dick or harry? And is it by default that most of them prey on gullible and naïve men to survive.

The old form of doing things and natural law where man is the head of everything is long gone. It will not be a big deal when a respected woman will stand up and foot for the bills instead of siphoning from men.

For them being a man is spending as much as you have for them and meeting their demands. “How can someone call himself a man if he cannot buy me a drink or meet my demands” notes Alice, a saloon owner in Busia town.

She argues that men who are not ready to spend should keep off and pave way for other suitable and potential suitors. These kinds of women are choosy and selective and you will see them with wealthy men in the town.  Hustlers like John and Tony will keep off lest they risk public humiliation by these women.

According to Derrick, a Boda boda operator in Bungoma town narrates how he was dumped by one woman he had dated for three months as he could not cater for her expensive demands.

“I was dumped after we had dated for three months. I could not stand her expensive demands” says Derrick.

He further advices youths to be keen on choosing who to date. The problem with these women is their irresistible looks. This beauty may also be giving them an ego that they are on demand.

Unfortunately, most of these young women end up single mothers. After being dumped by their rich boyfriends they decide to stay as single mothers. Men who knew these women will often stay away. Who wants to be associated with a woman whose integrity in the village or town is questionable.

Can it be ruled out that every woman is after siphoning a man’s pocket? Most well-off and civilized women view the behavior as among their few illiterate counterparts who are lazy and unable to struggle for themselves.

According to Tracy, a banker in Busia town, most women due to ignorance and poverty will device means to survive in the competitive world.

“Most of these women are not civilized. They only view men as people to depend on in order to survive” says the young banker.

She further argues that men usually use this as a weakness and manipulate women which explain why after a man impregnates a woman will vanish in thin air. The story is only heard in courts when these women demand for child maintenance or during funerals when they demand for the deceased wealth.

According to Tracy women need to be sensitized on the needs of empowerment and forget about depending on men for survival.

“It is necessary for women in our society to be enlightened on empowerment to open up their minds. This will end what we are experiencing” notes Tracy.

The trend which most men cry foul should be terminated. What if the man you rely on is no more? What if women take charge and start paying for men? Women should enslave themselves from dependency syndrome and stand up for their own.
