Reopening of Garissa varsity positive move

The Garissa attack in April threw the country into mourning and led to the institution’s closure indefinitely.

The Garissa community feared that the militants would be back. Six months later, the university is set for reopening.

This move asserts the reputation of the country’s resilience which was shown with the reopening of the Westgate mall that was also attacked by the Al Shabaab. This is a positive move by the Government and it gives hopes to Garissa because the town will not be deserted. Jobs that had been lost as a result of the closure will be regained.
