Governor William Kabogo has assured residents of Lari constituency that his government will ensure there is enough pipped water and smooth county roads before 2017. Governor Kabogo said the department of Water and Irrigation will be visiting the area for proper plans to be put in place.

"I promised enough water during campaigns and I am still committed to ensuring there is enough of the commodity in Lari constituency before the end of this term," said Kabogo while attending a church service at  PCEA Magina, Lari sub county.

The governor said it is very unfortunate that even in the 21st Century, the water problem still exists in some rural areas, where people are forced to travel long distances in search of the commodity.

He also said his regime will ensure roads in the area are in good condition, especially at a time the country is headed toward the El Nino rains.

Right manner

"We have rehabilitated a number of roads in this area and we are going to ensure those that were left out are also renovated. This area has been left behind for decades but my government will ensure your problems are addressed in the right manner," said Kabogo.

The county boss lashed at those accusing his government of not doing anything, adding the critics have now been forced to keep quiet after realising he is no longer answering them, but rather is committed to working for the people who elected him.

"There are some people who only open their mouths to mention my name because it is a big name.

But all I am concerned about is working for the people of Kiambu County, who will evaluate my work in 2017 and elect me for a second term in office," he said.

Kabogo said his development record speaks for itself, noting that since he was elected to office, he has rehabilitated roads, put up new hospitals and renovated others as well as started greenhouses for farmers in order for the county to be food secure.
