The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) has threatened to stage a protest against a savings and credit society for imposing Sh530 monthly levy on teachers without their consent.
Knut Bomet branch Executive Secretary Joseph Langat said the move by Imarisha Sacco Society to deduct the amount from teacher’s salary was illegal as teachers had not consented to the idea.
