Step out of your comfort zone

Many years ago when our parents and grandparents worked for 10-20 years in the same organisation and retired to a golden handshake, there was such a thing as job security. Now, enter the modern workplace, throw in a healthy (or sometimes unhealthy) dose of competition, corporate savviness, constant restructuring and job security goes out the window.

It follows then, that if you ever find yourself in a comfort zone, you may also be in for a rude awakening somewhere down the line. Consistently getting out of your comfort zone gives you the confidence that you are not a fraud, and that you cannot only survive but thrive outside of your current job or workplace.
