By Standard Digital Reporter

NAIROBI, KENYA: President Uhuru Kenyatta today at State House, Nairobi, signed into law the Insurance (Amendment) Bill 2013, after it was reviewed by the National Assembly.

The President declined to assent to the Bill when it was first presented to him in December last year, citing some sections that required to be amended in his memorandum to Parliament.

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi submitted the Bill to the President in the presence of Attorney General Prof. Githu Muigai, Solicitor General Njee Muturi and National Assembly Clerk Justin Bundi.  The amended Bill was passed by the National Assembly on February 25.
