Lomenen challenged the government to deploy more security personnel for patrols in the area as residents claimed that more officers have been dispatched to the oil sites leaving some areas in Turkana south to realize a shortage of security personnel. They also called upon the government to replace KPRs who have been killed in past raids saying shortages is weakening security situation in Kainuk division.
