President Mwai Kibaki on Saturday afternoon travelled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a two-day official visit.
During the visit, the President on Sunday September 2 will attend the State funeral for the late Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi.
The plane carrying President Kibaki and his entourage departed Jomo Kenyatta International Airport shortly before 3.00 p.m.
The Head of State was seen off at the airport by senior Government officials.
