Message of condolences continue to pour in following the death of Kenya's Nobel peace winner, environmentalist, politician and social activist, Professor Wangari Muta Maathai who died last night at the Nairobi hospital. At the time of her death, Maathai was undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer. Family members and friends gathered at her Muthangari home for preparations for her burial. UN secretary general Ban Ki Moon described her death as a loss to the people of Kenya and the world at large.
