Morningside Office Park launched

Deputy prime Minister and minister for Local Government Musalia Mudavadi says there is need for proper development planning. Mudavadi said there was need to be clear on which areas are residential, commercial or mix developments. He said this as he officiated the launching of Morningside Office Park, a development by Suburban Ltd. Mudavadi decried the lack of planning in many areas and called for a change in the way approvals are handled by the concerned professionals.

To be located along Ngong Road, the office park concept, where several offices are grouped together, has slowly gained momentum in the construction industry. Office and showroom complexes have continued to move farther away from the city centre with several concentrated along major roads to the city among them Waiyaki Way, Mombasa Road and Ngong Road.

The development will bring together names such as Home Afrika Ltd, Morningside Developments Ltd and InvesteQ Capital Ltd, all of which form Suburban Ltd.

Speaking at the unveiling of the project the Managing Director of Home Afrika Geoffrey Luseno said the brand’s new five-storey executive office complex would feature five levels of office space with 30 en-suite executive, and four penthouse office suites.

The construction is already underway with the park set to be ready for occupation later next year.
