This is a clear indication that the fight against corruption in the force still has a long way to go.

The police department has always topped the list of the most corrupt sectors, and it is unbelievable that someone of Boinnet's calibre can defend the officers to such extent.

And his attempts to threaten matatu driver Charles Macharia who spoke nothing but the truth about corruption on our roads showed that the IG is still living in denial.

In fact, the IG reacted to the driver's comments about what is happening on our roads as if he is living on another planet not knowing what is happening here.

This is an indication that corruption will never be eradicated within the force since their actions will continue to be defended.

What the matatu driver said on corruption in the police force is exactly what is taking place at all the roadblocks across the country.

It is in the public domain that police take bribes openly, unlike in the past when they used to collect them secretly.
