"It's basically what's going on: Everything is propaganda"
Lindsey Buckingham
The people are free to think, free to think exactly what they are told. People are told what only they should hear and want to hear. This intelligent and conscious manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in the society. Popular culture of thinking and operation holds that pity is compassion, flattery love, tension peace, and gossip news. We are governed, our tastes formed, our minds molded, our ideas suggested, largely by who we've never heard of. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. The tendency of giving half-truths or inconclusive truths to the masses and making them believe these as the absolute truth is what has made the world move to this point. Who cares for the ontological truth? Who said it matters? Is it even expedient? If complete truth was released to the masses, there wouldn't be religiosity, no government, no marriages, no businesses, chaos would be experienced everywhere because the masses would not be easily controlled.
