Igembe North MP Joseph M'eruaki has appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to reinstate Charity Ngilu as Lands Cabinet Secretary now that she has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the Waitiki land saga.

Mr Eruaki said the Lands ministry had been deprived of an energetic leader and issuance of title deeds had also slowed down in Ngilu's absence. Eruaki was speaking in Naathu, where he and three other MPs issued 11,000 title deeds to residents.

"The titles Meru received during President Kenyatta's visit and the ones we are issuing today are a result of Ngilu's hard work. She should get her job back," said Eruaki.
