The truck, belonging to an Isiolo businessman Ali Mahad was moving towards Isiolo from Wajir where it had taken fresh farm produce three days earlier.

The truck was ferrying about 150 goats and sheep and 30 passengers when the crash occurred at Gambella, about 15 km east of Isiolo town on Monday at about 7.30 pm.

On Tuesday, Isiolo County Assembly majority leader Adan Ali who was at the scene confirmed that five people died, two at the scene and three others at Isiolo Level Four Hospital.
