Kiambu man 'defiled then killed daughter'

KIAMBU: A man in Ndumberi, Kiambu County early this week allegedly defiled his step-daughter before murdering her and stashed her badly mutilated body in a suitcase.

The mother of the murdered girl said she had asked her husband for Sh2,000 for school fees.

She said that later on she went to look for a suitable school for her six-year-old daughter but upon returning home, she did not find the husband and the girl too was missing.

The man is said to have called the wife and informed her to look for Sh3 million in a suitcase inside the house but the wife thought that she was joking and she just ignored.

In the evening, she said she revisited the issue and looked inside the bag only to find her child’s badly mutilated body inside. She immediately alerted the police who visited the scene and took the body to Kiambu District Hospital mortuary.

“My daughter had been defiled, strangled, her legs , hands and back broken so as to fit inside the bag. Upon inspecting the body, a piece of cloth had been inserted in her private parts,” said the mother.

According to the wife, her husband is still communicating with her over the phone and at one time said that he is not the one who did it but he hired someone to do it.

He would call again and ask for forgiveness.
