Held Nigerian emits more heroin pellets

Kenya: A Nigerian who was arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi while carrying several pellets of heroin in his rectum has emitted seven more pieces. He has so far emitted 73 pellets.

The man had arrived at JKIA aboard a Kenya Airways flight from Dubai while on transit to Abidjan on Monday when he was intercepted by police.

Airport CID boss Joseph Ngisa said the suspect was at the transit lounge when he was arrested. The arrest came days after another Nigerian was arrested while carrying 53 pellets. The 37-year-old man had arrived at JKIA from Lagos while on transit to Bangkok when he was arrested last week.

He will appear in court today. Police at JKIA have in the recent months made several arrests and seizures of drugs on transit. Most of the narcotics seized are cocaine and heroin.
