Nairobi: Gor Mahia seems threatened by Wednesdays 3-2 victory by Sofapaka against Ushuru FC. Sofapaka is now second on the table with one point short of edging out Gor Mahia from the top spot.

This now puts Gor Mahia at a fix sinc e they have to crash Mathare united this weekend at the City Stadium in order to maintain the top postion that Sofapaka is eyeing enviously.

Gor Mahia mid fielder Okoth says that they have to win this Sunday’s Kenyan Premier League match against Mathare United in preparation of next weekend’s  crucial match against title rivals Sofapaka. He therefore urges his team mates to do their best and net as many goals as possible.

“We are four points in the lead and that is nothing in today’s football at this stage of the season. But if we play our game and perform we have a big chance to win it. I have no doubt we will be there,” added Okoth.
