Michael Essien deny he has contracted Ebola

Ex-Chelsea ace Michael Essien  has taken to his Twitter account, to refute reports that he has contracted the deadly Ebola virus.

He tweeted: “No truth in internet rumours that I have contracted Ebola.i m very well & I’m doing very gud & will be training as usual tomorrow. #falsenews”

Also Milan have been forced to “categorically deny” rumours in the African media that Michael Essien contracted Ebola.

The reports have been swirling round several websites this weekend and the club released a statement assuring these claims were “totally without foundation.”

A statement on their website read, “AC Milan categorically denies alleged news from abroad about its members. Such news, totally unfounded, however, has never been confirmed by any employee of our Company.”

The Ghanian international joined the Italian giants in January this year following a nine-year stint at Chelsea.
