The Boxing Association of Kenya has appointed Kenya Defence Forces Boxing team captain Nick Abaka to head the national boxing team. The association’s Deputy President Albert Matito said Abaka, who will be the team captain for three years, is expected to lead ‘The Hit Squad’ to the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympic Games in Brazil. Abaka was elevated to the national team captain’s post due to his consistent excellent performance at the club level and for the national team in different international assignments.
