How this 14-year-old boy with disability surprised his guardian with a flight ticket

A class six boy of Kiptabus primary school in Keiyo North sub-county of Elgeyo Marakwet has done the less expected that has left many surprised as he books a flight for his guardian and himself from Eldoret to Nairobi and back.

The young village boy with a disability is going to accompany athletes who topped the 3rd edition of Iten Marathon for a prestigious tour to Kenya’s capital city.

Jonathan Kibet together with his guardian, Sammy Kiptum, will board Skyward Express VIP class of the same plane carrying the top Kenyan athletes. Skyward Express regional manager, Kiprono Sang Chelule, has confirmed this to Ureporter.

The boy was looking after the herd cattle near the finishing line of Iten Marathon that took place yesterday before grasping the life fortune that seemed to be a mirage putting into consideration his very humble roots and also his physical condition.

The school going boy was picked as the keenest spectator fun by Skyward Express team, relieved from the job he was doing and promoted to the high table where he was received by Elgeyo Marakwet County Governor Alex Tolgos and the Uasin Gishu senatorial seat hopeful Robert Kemei.

Coincidentally, the boy is coming from the school in which Governor Alex Tolgos pursued his primary studies.

To reward the quirk, the young governor has vowed to gather for all paraphernalia together with other expenses the boy will need for his education.

For the first time in history, the poor boy addressed the mammoth crowd in heart of Iten town and expressed that he is now optimistic that his dream of becoming a pilot will come to reality.

His Guardian revealed that despite the boy being living with disability and coming from the poor family, the analysis of his academic performance track record indicates that he is above the average in the class.
