Bank lessens supply burden for builders

Co-operative Bank customers in the building industry will get construction materials at discounted rates, thanks to a partnership deal between the bank and ASL Ltd, a major supplier of building materials in the country.

The negotiated prices will also come with a 30-day credit as well as free delivery of items purchased within Nairobi and free warehousing services. The deal targets builders and contractors. Speaking during the signing of the MoU, Co-op Bank Head of Mortgage, Chris Chege, said: “As the building industry continues to expand, we have discovered that developers are spending more and more time focusing on material sourcing and supply rather than project management and timely delivery. With this partnership, ASL will offer a solution to builders, architects and contractors...”

ASL Limited stocks a wide range of building and hardware supplies in Kenya. The company has a distribution network across the country, stocking everything a building site requires. The materials are both local and imported.

Speaking at the event, ASL Ltd Director, Bharat Patel, said: “ASL has the full building solution under one roof at competitive pricing, allowing customers to save time and money by sourcing from one location – one delivery- one account- one partner.”
