Raila told to respond to book claims

Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo has challenged Prime Minister Raila Odinga to respond to allegations against him by a former advisor, Miguna Miguna.

Jirongo said that following the revelations in the book, Raila can no longer claim to be as clean as he says.

Addressing teachers from Bungoma County during the homecoming party for Bungoma Central Kenya National Union of Teachers Knut Executive Secretary Fredrick Sichangi at Sikusi village, Jirongo urged Kenyans to critically look into the past of all those who have declared their interest to lead this country.

“I am shocked that while some of the presidential contenders have claimed the race is a two-horse race, they still have a lot of explanations to make because they are not as clean as they would want us to believe,” said Jirongo.

He added that Miguna’s book has exposed the real culprits behind the maize theft and other scandals that have been reported from the PM’s office.

Jirongo said his presidency will ensure fairness for all Kenyans and urged Kenyans to support his bid.
