A day after controversial Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi openly admitted to having lots of money, another viral video has surfaced on social media showing him showering a volunteer teacher with KSh 50,000 for a job well done.

While addressing students, Sudi called on the teacher and praised her for persevering for three good years and assured them he would help her beyond just money.

“Nitampanga yeye atakaa vizuri kama hawa wengine,” he said.

Of late, Oscar Sudi has been on a giving spree that has seen him become a darling of many, especially his constituents.

For him, affluence is the norm. he rolls in money, power and all the controversies that come with wielding both.

His actions though, have elicited different reactions from different factions of Kenyans. Some praised him for his generosity while others castigated him for what they termed as misuse of public resources.

For his defence, Sudi said he has money and he doesn’t have a reason to deny it.

“When people say you have money, don’t deny it. Yes, I have a lot of money. But money alone doesn’t bless everyone. We are the angels of God here on earth, and we lift each other up.”

But this wasn’t the script a few years ago. He once opened up that his father was a charcoal dealer back in the day.

“My parents were squatters in the Moi University area and all we had was a grass-thatched house in the farm of Mzee Kibor arap Talai who allowed us to stay on his farm but temporarily. I used to sleep in the kitchen with my two brothers,” He earlier told the Nairobian.
