Misplaced criticism?

Mama Kayai, the veteran Vitimbi actress’ criticism of Lupita Nyong’o role in 12 Years a Slave drew varied reactions from people, with some thinking it was unwarranted while others thought she was right; Nyong’o’s role was not a reflection of African values. We sample some of your views.
Mwangie Eddie: 12 Years a Slave wasn’t an African Movie.......Mama Kayai being around for a long time doesn’t make her qualified to be a critic of over-achievers!
Mariane Esther: The movie was a true story and it happened like it did. Not all movies are meant to be family friendly. She’s just old school and we have evolved.
Antonio Mwas: That’s why she is analogue.
Evelyn Ombogo: Her age betrays her
Lucy Muthoni Kihara: Is she living in a cave? Ooh, I forgot Vitimbi is still doing 10th century episodes!
Anthony Miks Mikwa: She didn’t diss, but she criticised... of which she was right
Donald Rogers: She was right.
