Boni Khalwale confirms how long he will be supporting Raila Odinga

Kakamega County Senator and gubernatorial aspirant Dr. Boni Khalwale has reaffirmed his support for NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga in this year’s General Election.

 “I fully support Mr. Odinga in this year’s election but only for one term” said Khalwale at Ogalo Trading Centre. He added that after this year’s election it was good for Luo community to support Luhya candidates in 2022 elections.

Khalwale also accused Budalang’i constituency lawmaker Ababu Namwamba for fronting his personal interests a head of Luhya nation.

“Namwamba should not think that he owns Luhya votes” added Dr. Khalwale.

Senator Khalwale also seized the opportunity to urge Busia County voters to vote overwhelmingly for Dr. Paul Otuoma in the forthcoming elections slated for August 8th this year. He said that the incumbent governor Sospeter Ojaamong should be contented with his one term and pave way for others to lead Busia County.

Busia County Senator Amos Wako also asked for a second term to continue serving Busia County residents. Speaking to Butula Young Professionals Association, Senator Wako said that he has done a lot and he deserves a second term. He said that he helped Busia County to recover a total of Sh 1.4 billion, money that had been erroneously sent to Bungoma County by treasury.

“I helped Busia County to recover Sh800 million and Sh600 million that was sent to Bungoma County” said Wako. Senator Wako also added that he has identified an investor who is set to construct a sports college in Busia County.

He added that sports academy will be of great importance to Busia County residents as it will nurture talents and help with sponsorship. He also said that countries like Ghana have benefited from such projects.
