Jealous husband seals wife's privates with glue

The woman should be administered 100 lashes as to prevent further “misunderstandings” between her and her husband- Judge

Middle East could be the home of most jealous men. That is, if the nasty reports of husbands mistrustful of their wives are anything to go by. In the latest case, a Qatari man, suspicious of his wife’s likelihood of cheating on him while he was a way on safari, sealed her vagina with glue.

Just before he left for a few days’ business trip, the unidentified 33-year-old man applied the adhesive on his wife’s birth canal with the hope that it would stop her from letting any other man access it!

The Doha Tribune reports that the woman was rushed to hospital by neighbours following the exculpating pain before the man was arrested and taken to court.

He confessed to the judge that he was guilty of gluing her genitals, but only because he believed she had adulterous ideas after he found out she had liked a post of his 12-year-old cousin on Facebook.

He also showed a selfie of her, which she had posted on her Facebook account where one of her heels was clearly visible for all to see and not covered accordingly to Islamic law, he told the judge.

This, reportedly, prompted the man to suspect she was up to no good, especially now that he was to be away for a couple of days. “The man was taken before the court after accusations by the wife’s family of damaging her reproductive organs and risking to make her infertile,” wrote the paper.

According to Judge Muhammad Bin Saden of the Qatari court of Justice in Doha, the husband did unjustly bring harm to his wife, although his reasons were “well-intentioned” but put into action in an “awkward way” he said.

Also, the judge pointed out that, after going through the evidence and photos the husband had brought to court, the suffering was in part justified, but still decided the woman should be administered 100 lashes as to prevent further “misunderstandings” between her and her husband.

The husband was sentenced to pay 40 Riyal (Sh1,135) and prevented to use any sort of glue or adhesive on his wife ever again.
