President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee party has suffered a setback in the Coast after Taveta MP Naomi Shaban ditched the ruling party.
Shaban has cited a plot to rig her out in the Jubilee primaries set for April 21. Speaking to The Standard , Shaban claimed a scheme by Jubilee Party to edge her out of the party through unfair nomination process.
"I have quit Jubilee Party because of one reason; there is a plot to rig me out in the primaries. If you look at IEBC's list of aspirants there is a Naomi in the list.
The name has been put there to confuse voters," she said.
