Champions Kanbis will battle Swamibapa in semi-finals of the Harilal Shah Memorial cricket Twenty20 Tournament at the Sikh Union Oval today.
In the second semis tie, newly crowned Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association Super League champions Stray Lions will face off against Sikh Union at Gymkhana.
Kanbis who were stripped off their Super League crown by Stray Lions will be out to defend their honour.
They finished second in pool A behind Stray Lions with eight points after losing their last pool match to the former by five runs. The Swamis on the other hand had a perfect run winning all matches with 11 points.
Kanbis will rely on the services of national team skipper Rakep Patel.
Stray Lions who are hopeful of securing another silverware will be seeking to go past Sikh Union and seal a finals slot.
Former Kenya great Maurice Odumbe told Feverpitch that despite their current form they will not underrate their opponents.
“We are in good form and ready for this match, our recent exploits in the league and this tournament will count for nothing because this is a different day and different match,” he said.
