The national women’s football team, Harambee Starlets will not play Morocco as earlier planned but will play two friendlies against top tier sides.

The national side is in Morocco in preparation for Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) finals which run from November 19 to December 3 in Cameroon.

Starlets were scheduled to play against WAC Casablanca yesterday evening. Team manager Doreen Nabwire confirmed the development saying that despite missing the match against the national side, the team will gain from the friendly matches.

“We are scheduled to play WAC Casablanca on Saturday, but we are awaiting CAF authorisation. On Monday, we will face CAK Khenifra,” she said.
