Probe massive graft in Trans Nzoia county

It is regrettable that with about a year to the next General Election, there is very little to show for the much hyped devolution in Trans Nzoia County.

For the last three years, the county has received close to Sh14 billion and yet there is little impact at the grassroots.

Many roads in the county are in deplorable condition. A good example is the Kissawai-Teldet road which is completely inaccessible. The Kambi Miwa-Chebombai road too is in a pathetic condition.

The health sector has not witnessed any noticeable improvement. Dispensaries like Bondeni in Kinyoro Ward always lack drugs. The staff in these facilities often appear demoralised.

The county should emulate neighbouring counties like Bungoma and Uasin Gishu where devolution benefits can be felt.

The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission should investigate massive corruption in the county.
