Senator Lenny Kivuti (above) has dismissed the Opposition's clamour to have the electoral commission disbanded.

He claimed Monday's protests were uncalled-for, adding that CORD was fearing defeat. He urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officers not to be cowed by the Opposition, saying CORD's demands to eject them amounted to intimidation and victimisation.

Mr Kivuti asked the Opposition to stop crying wolf since the current IEBC was constituted when CORD leader Raila Odinga was prime minister.
