The Treasury Cabinet secretary has said statements by opposition chief Raila Odinga on Eurobond are fictitious.

Henry Rotich said Raila's sentiments were only meant to create unnecessary anxiety.

Mr Rotich, while maintaining that no money was lost, said he is not worried about the saga anymore because he had provided sufficient information showing how the funds were acquired and used.

"We have provided all the information on our website for all to see and make their conclusion on who is telling the truth. What I know is that people cannot be fooled all the time," said Rotich at Tendwo Primary School in Ainabkoi constituency after launching a classrooms project at the institution.

He said the information given on the Treasury's website is explicit and it would be a waste of time to engage the former premier over the same.

Rotich urged Kenyans to be wary of information given by politicians over Eurobond saying a lot of lies are being peddled.

Area MP Samuel Chepkonga who accompanied Rotich accused the opposition chief of using Eurobond to gain political mileage.

"We have invited him to table the dossier he has with PAC (Public Accounts Committee) but he refused and instead goes to the media to claim he has information. Odinga should table the evidence with the Auditor General and stop disturbing the CS," the legislator said.

The lawmaker said they will disregard Raila's statements unless he takes the evidence he has to relevant investigating agencies.

"If Odinga does not have faith in Parliament he should visit agencies that will carry expeditious and independent probe about the alleged saga," Mr Chepkonga added.

He said Parliament is ever ready to welcome him to come and give information.

Raila, who has demanded that the Government accounts for the Eurobond billions, said the individuals who benefited from the funds were known and they will be exposed. In December last year, Raila said: "Those claiming that I am lying will get to know the truth from next week, we know the individuals who stole the Eurobond money and where they kept it."
