A security guard was charged for allegedly touching a seven-year-old girl’s private parts in a mosque.
The court heard that on October 2, Salim Bakari committed the offence at a Mosque in Gikomba.
According to police records, the minor was leaving the mosque after the evening prayers at around 7pm when Bakari attacked her.
It is reported that he dragged her to the mosque where he touched her indecently.
The court heard that she attempted to scream, but the accused threatened to beat her.
He later reportedly took off and left the girl writhing in pain.
The girl, it is reported, managed to crawl home and reported the matter to her mother.
Bakari was arrested but he denied the charges and was set free on a Sh100,000 bail.
The case will be heard on December 11.
