Suu Kyi party decries voter list 'chaos'

Aung San Suu Kyi Monday urged supporters to check their names on voter lists as her opposition party raised the alarm over "chaos" in Myanmar's electoral rolls just weeks before historic polls.

Some 32 million people are eligible to vote in the November 8 parliamentary election, seen as a key test of democratic progress in a nation that only emerged in 2011 from a half-century of military role.
