Uhuru told my son to dash for gold — Nicholas Bett’s mum
At Leemok Village, the home of world 400metres hurdles champion Nicholas Bett, her mother Esther Boit said: “The one thing that takes him far is his humility, when he comes home. We eat together in the kitchen.”
Bett is the younger brother of Haron Koech, who competed with him in the semi finals of the 400m hurdles in Beijing. When President Uhuru Kenyatta singled out Bett and asked him to dash for gold, his mum was keen to know what the President had told Bett.
