Civil servants demand pay rise just like teachers

The Public Servants Union has put the Government on notice to prepare for a salary increment for civil servants the same way a court ruled for a raise on teachers’ salaries.

The union’s Secretary General Francis Ngariuku (top) hailed the Tuesday ruling that saw an increment on teachers pay by between 50 and 60 per cent. Speaking in Embu town yesterday, Mr Ngariuku said a salary raise for other civil servants was long overdue and would motivate them to increase productivity.
