Airtel to upgrade 3.75G network performance in Nairobi

Airtel Kenya is working to improve the quality of its 3.75G network performance in Nairobi in order to provide a stronger signal and faster data speeds to its customers.

The company has confirmed the network upgrade in Nairobi has started in order to allow customers to continue accessing uninterrupted quality of service.

The project involves UMTS 900 Mhz spectrum upgrade, which will significantly enhance indoor coverage penetration and improve data quality for Airtel 3.75G network users.

In February this year, the company announced it had invested Sh2.5 billion to upgrade its network.

"The completion of the network upgrade in Mombasa and Kitale town now gives our customers a delightful experience, allowing them to take advantage of our superior services such as Airtel #UnlimiNet, amongst a bouquet of other data services," Chief Executive Officer Adil El Youssefi said.
