Cleric wants madrassa syllabus harmonised

Vihiga, Kenya - Muslim cleric in the county has asked the Government to harmonise the syllabi used in their Madrassa lessons so as to help reduce radicalisation.

 

During a meeting with the Security Committee on Friday, which was chaired by the County Commissioner Boaz Cherutich, county chairman of Council of Imams Athuman Issa said: "If the State can set only one syllabus to be used in all Madrassa lessons, it will the curb the vice."

Meanwhile, survivors of Garissa University College terror attack from the Western region, will undergo trauma counselling at Vihiga High for over 20 days.
