William Ruto drums support for JAP candidate in Kajiado Central

Kenya: Top Government machinery pitched camp yesterday in Kajiado Central constituency to drum up support for the Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) candidate in the coming by-election.

Led by Deputy President William Ruto, the group criss-crossed the constituency urging residents to vote for JAP candidate Patrick Tutui.

The seat fall vacant after the immediate former MP Joseph Nkaissery was appointed the Cabinet Secretary for Interior Security and National Co-ordination.

"I have come here today to ask support for our candidate Mr Tutui so that he can continue with where Mr Nkaissery left," said Mr Ruto at a rally at Meto grounds.

The deputy President appealed to residents to come out in large numbers and vote for Tutui saying he was well placed to unite the people.

"It is only the Government that can solve problems facing you in this constituency," he said.

Present were MPs Katoo Metito (Kajiado South), Samuel Lelilit (Samburu West), Moses Sakuda (Kajiado Central) Tuiyan Soipan (Narok Woman rep ) and her Kajiado counter part Mary Senata.
