Former Nairobi PPO named nyumba kumi boss

Former Nairobi Provincial Police boss Antony Kibuchi has been appointed chairman of the Kirinyaga County Community Policing Initiative.

The move comes in the wake of a series of armed robberies, serial killings and mysterious disappearances of several people in the area.

County Commissioner Joseph Keter announced Kibuchi's appointment at a leaders' meeting held at the Kerugoya Catholic Hall over the weekend.

Mr Keter said coming from the county, Mr Kibuchi was well versed with its political, geographical and criminal terrains and would therefore be an asset in restoring the run-away insecurity.

Kibuchi promised to do all that it takes to restore security.
