KPL: Defender Owino calls it a day at Sofapaka

Former Harambee Stars defender George ‘Wise’ Owino has quit Sofapaka. The player took to his Facebook account to confirm his exit, which he attributed to the desire to get more playing time elsewhere after a long injury lay-off. “I just want to thank Sofapaka, from the president Elly Kalekwa, the technical bench, the players and staff for the four years we have worked together, the achievements we had the good n (sic) bad times we shared. I think it’s another chance for me to seek a different challenge because I think it will be good for my career before I can hang my boots.”
