Retired President Daniel Moi to grace famous Kimalel goat auction

Kenya: Former President Daniel Moi is today expected to join other leaders during the second annual Kimalel goat auction in Baringo County. Moi, who founded the much celebrated event in early 1986 while still in office, will be accompanied by Deputy President William Ruto and several governors, senators and MPs from across the country.

President Uhuru Kenyatta re-launched the event in 2013, after it went under soon after Moi retired from office in 2002. More than Sh24 million was raised in less than one hour during the re-launch ceremony presided over Uhuru.
