As if the chaos that occurred yesterday in the National Assembly were not bad enough, Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo has come out to accuse three MPs of attempting to undress her.
The legislator took to her Facebook page to recount the attack. In it she said
“….We managed a stalemate whole morning. Afternoon they came back better prepared. Many Mps beaten up. I was boxed in the eye by Moses Kuria as one permanent drunk pulled my panty and another two pulled up my dress. But I am not of the " ayayayaya you slapped me fame!" Moses Kuria amejua why am MP Mbita elected and not appointed.
Plus learn, we pride as a people in nakedness Na wamejua. When they tried to undress me I completed the process for them. I am fearfully and wonderfully made and have no embarrassment over my body. I cannot and will not be intimidated using my sexuality.”
This update was followed by an update on her account reassuring the people that she has gone for a scan and eye checkup.
According to TheStar, the accused, Moses Kuria, has admitted to slapping the Mbita MP because she assaulted Joyce Laboso. Joyce is the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. He however denies attempting to strip Millie.
The alleged altercation has naturally triggered a debate on social media with many Kenyans disgusted at what they are terming as juvenile and distasteful behavior from the legislators.
